Furniture finished

Here's what the stuff in the previous post turned into after a whole lot more work. This whole unit is a bit over 11 feet long and about 8-1/2 feet tall. The base cabinets were purchased over the internet. The shelves and all the trimming in work is mine. Since I'm the original slow man working, this took me about 4 months of weekends.

Furniture building

Doweled and glued up the center spines and fixed shelves of the two outside shelf units.

The dog

This is Gertie.

Gertie is our retired racing greyhound. Her racing name was "Myokie Gertie" which is unique enough that you can google it and find her racing history and pedigree.

Commemorating my first post

It's really August 20, 2008. My kid just started blogging. It's private and about the child she will be having soon.

But it got me to look at my previous and more boring blog. Mostly clips. Just because I can, I think, I'm going to back date this post to have the same date as the first post on my old blog.
